President and CEO
Paul Averill is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Wired4Health, Inc., a healthcare technology services firm established in 2010 with offices in Orlando. Wired4Health, with more than 150 employees, provides healthcare organizations with full stack technology services including data integration and interoperability, outsourced customer implementation, data curation, project management, IT audits and risk assessments and custom software development.
Among his career highlights, Mr. Averill led the development of the nation’s first Health Information Exchange (THINC, Inc.) which was acquired by WebMD; started a data-driven population health software company designed to assist self-insured employers and unions achieve healthcare cost savings; architected the largest Medicaid managed care plan acquisition and roll-up since 2000 (Wellcare, Inc.) in partnership with a large New York private equity group; led the business development efforts of the nation’s first 340B software vendor (RxStrategies); served as the EVP/Chief Operating Officer for the nation’s largest and most successful 340B/Data Analytics company (Sentry Data Systems); led the development of multiple business partnerships with the Greater New York Hospital Association and the National Association of Community Health Centers resulting in the formation of several successful business ventures and subsequent acquisitions; ran the US healthcare business practice for Wipro/Infocrossing; and started a mobile app company designed to protect children and assistant parents with ensuring their children’s safety while away from home.
Lynn Smith
Senior Vice President, Technology Services
Mr. Smith has over 30 years’ experience in healthcare, technology, business development and operations. Lynn is responsible for technical business development and overseeing the successful implementation of all Wired4Health products and services.
Prior to joining Wired4Health, Lynn served as the Chief Operating Officer for THINC, Inc. from 1995 to 2001, Chief Technology Officer for MedeWorks from 2001 to 2003, Chief Information Officer for Health Process Management from 2004 to 2007 and Senior Vice President for Wipro/Infocrossing Healthcare from 2007 to 2012.
Percy Kwong
Chief Information Officer
Percy is Wired4Health’s Chief Information Officer and has 25 years of executive level healthcare technology experience. His experience spans Fortune 500 companies to numerous start-up and early stage organizations. Prior to joining Wired4Health in 2020, Percy served as the CEO of Koi Consulting from 2011 to 2019. During his years at Koi, Percy led a variety of healthcare and other technology engagements with Facebook, Comcast, AT&T, Sentry Data Systems, Charter, Shoedazzle and numerous other public and privately-held companies. From 2007 to 2010, Percy served as the CIO of Wipro/Infocrossing Healthcare. During his tenure at Wipro, Percy converted decades old legacy systems to n-tiered state-of-the-art cloud-based applications driving cost savings and enabling new forms of revenue streams. From 1995 to 2001, Percy served as the Chief Technology Officer for THINC, Inc. (acquired by WebMD). As CTO, Percy led the technical development of the nation’s first profitable Health Information Exchange focused on the Greater New York metropolitan area.
William Hisey
Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
Mr. Hisey has over 30 years’ experience in healthcare, business development and finance (including venture capital and corporate finance). His experiences run the spectrum from initial start-ups to Fortune 100 Companies. He currently is the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development of Wired4Health, Inc., a healthcare solutions technology firm. From 2006 to 2011, he served in various roles at Sentry Data Systems, Inc., primarily in Finance and Business Development.
In January 2001, Mr. Hisey co-founded RxStrategies (Pharmaceutical Services Start Up) as President and was appointed to the Board of Directors in December 2001. He served in these roles, as well as Treasurer and Secretary through June of 2004. During this time, Mr. Hisey successfully established the business model, oversaw the initial and follow-up capitalization ($11mm of private equity) of the Company and directly oversaw the development and ramp up of all operations of the Company. Sales, Marketing, Finance, Technology and Operations reported directly to Mr. Hisey. Additionally, he was directly responsible for Product Design and Development.
From January 2001 to December 2001, Mr. Hisey served U.S. Strategies Corporation, a Business Development and Federal Representation firm, as Principal and Chief Financial Officer, and RxStrategies, as President. He began serving RxStrategies full-time in January 2002.
From 1998 to December 2000, Mr. Hisey was Chief Financial Officer of SNOWMARK Corporation, a Florida venture capital investment firm, where he oversaw all financial and operational activities, including accounting, investment analysis and deal structure negotiations. He negotiated terms on several highly profitable investments and assumed CFO and/or operational responsibility for various troubled investments in the portfolio.
During this time he was recruited as President and COO of CoSite, Inc., a logistics software company in the 3PL (third party logistics) market space, with the task of turning around the operation and securing second round financing. In this role, Mr. Hisey successfully negotiated a $10mm equity investment, while securing key vendor relationships with Ryder International, resulting in the Company’s product being used Coca Cola, and Ford Motor Company.
From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Hisey was Vice President – Business Development, Licensing & Acquisitions at IVAX Corporation, one of the largest generic drug manufacturers in the U.S. He had responsibility for all licensing and acquisition activity, including screening, contacting, and negotiating with a large number of acquisition and product licensing candidates.
Sandra Rinehart
Vice President, Data Interoperability
Sandra is Wired4Health’s Vice President of Data Interoperability. She has been with Wired4Health since 2014. Previously, she served as founder and owner of SOS Technology Services, LLC. She has spent several years working in various roles with multiple technologies for clients to perform ETL processing and analyzing of their data. Additionally she has created automation technologies for several client processes.
She brings along with her over 30 years experience in writing software/websites, and processing/analyzing data. With a focus on technology, accounting, banking, and healthcare, she has contracted with several Fortune 500 companies, including AT&T, Tupperware, BancOne, CBIS and NTT, to help guide them into efficient processing of their data . Her exposure to telecommunications enabled her to manage and develop for a company that was one of the first to create electronic check processing and troubleshoot mainframe telecommunication processing issues.
Her experience in database management systems crosses platforms such as IMS, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Foxpro, Delphi, PostgreSQL, MySQL, API and web services. She has utilized development technologies that span Mainframe and Microcomputing alike such as TSO/ISPF and Linux to PCs/Intranet.
Her communication and project management skills have allowed her to effectively bridge inter-departmental communication and process gaps. This was achieved due to her strong abilities to document processes, hire/train professionals, all with the use of high technology platforms such as Salesforce, JIRA, and confluence.
Much of her data processing, communication and training skills were honed during a 7 year period where, in addition to her work writing websites, she taught high school and middle school mathematics for those struggling to achieve the needed skills to move forward.
